who am i

I'm Benjamin Flanagan.

I make websites.

Born in 1986 and raised in Newcastle, NSW, Australia, I've been a computer geek since I can remember. One of my oldest memories is playing Alex Kidd on the Sega.

I had a few brief encounters with html during my teenage years, but I first really got interested in website design when I got myself a copy of Dreamweaver. I was very much a beginner, but enthusiastic, so I went to TAFE to work out how to do things properly.

My study was enough to ignite my hunger for knowledge, so I started looking for work. I've always learned better on the job, so when Jeremy Dawes offered me a part time job at Jezweb I was very pleased.

My skills developed, and a couple of days a week soon turned into 40+ hours a week. Ever since, I've been building on the knowledge I've got and always trying to better myself. I look at sites I built a year ago and want to redo them the way they 'should' be done. I suppose that will be the case a year from now when I look at the ones I'm building now.
